British rider Ethan Hayter of INEOS Grenadiers took the lead of Itzulia Basque Country after securing victory in Monday's opening stage. The young cyclist was in high spirits after the race, thanking all of his fellow INEOS teammates who have helped him on the road to recovery after suffering a broken collarbone at the Tour Down Under.
