Overview.
Heerenveen ended a six-game winless run last time out as they beat Venlo 3-0, however they remain one of just three Eredivisie teams still winless at home after recording four consecutive draws. Three of those draws ended 1-1, with one positive being that Heerenveen managed to score an equaliser after conceding first in all three. With four of the hosts’ last five Eredivisie home victories seeing both teams score, even if they do manage to get that first home win it’s unlikely to come with a clean sheet – something they’ve also failed to register in the last five H2Hs with Zwolle (W1, D1, L3).
Two losses ‘to nil’, both by a margin of at least two goals, has PEC Zwolle travelling here in out-of-sorts form, although on the road they have lost three of their four Eredivisie games so far (W1), with the scoreline between the teams separated by at least two goals in all four games. The opener was scored by the 20th minute in three of those road trips, so don’t be surprised if there’s an early goal here. In fact, with an average of 4.13 match goals in Zwolle’s league fixtures this term (only one team has a higher average), both goalkeepers could be in for a busy day.
