H2H: Leeds United vs. West Bromwich Albion – Score prediction (01.10.2019)

After a good start, Leeds have won just one of their previous four Championship matches. A theme for those matches, and for much of the season, has been a slow start followed by a chaotic end. Tellingly, 72.22% of the goals scored or conceded in their league fixtures have come in the second half. The fact that Leeds currently sit outside the automatic promotion spots belies their dominant performances, and the Whites’ average of 4.88 shots on target per 90 minutes is the highest average in the Championship. Still undefeated, West Brom look like serious promotion contenders again, notably scoring in each league match so far. Furthermore, they scored two or more goals in all five of their league victories. They don’t make life easy for themselves however, having conceded the opening goal in seven of those nine league fixtures.
Across the previous five competitive H2Hs, the ‘Baggies’ have enjoyed the lion’s share of success. Notably, all of those fixtures saw four or more match goals, and this season they enjoy a reputation for strong finishes, having not conceded a league goal after the 75th minute so far.
