H2H: Parma vs. AS Roma – Prediction (Serie A

Parma have lost 31 Serie A matches against Roma (W9 D10), a record for the Crociati in the Italian top-flight.

Parma’s last draw (1-1 at Fiorentina) made it just one Serie A (SA) win since the start of October (D2, L2). The problem seems to be their attack, which has scored five (62.5 %) of their goals in this period in just one game, while conceding at least once each time. Parma have also conceded the opener before the break three times during this run. Gervinho has scored twice before the break across Parma’s last three matches. The hosts have also won almost two-thirds (64.29%) of their overall 14-point tally here, winning three of their last four home fixtures. Impressively, they scored at least three goals in two of those wins.

With just one exception, all of Parma’s league fixtures this season have produced over 3.5 yellow cards. Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo has found the net in three consecutive SA matches, opening the scoring inside first 20 minutes twice. Most importantly though, Roma haven’t lost a single away game in SA so far (W3, D2), opening the scoring in every match that produced any goals. Furthermore, the ‘Giallorossi’ have won the last three H2Hs at Parma, with all of them seeing the first half produce under 1.5 total goals.
