Saudi Arabia vs. Paraguay – Prediction (Friendly – 19.11.2019)

Preview and Teams Comparison.

Saudi Arabia picked up just their second win in eight matches last week (W2, D4, L2). They haven’t always boasted the best defensive record, conceding at least one goal in five of the fixtures in that run. Meanwhile, they themselves found the back of the net in just four of those matches, with both victories seeing them score exactly three goals. Abdulfattah Asiri has four goals in his previous five competitive appearances – including a brace for Saudi Arabia. Three of the four strikes came in the first half. A big problem for the ‘Falcons’ has been their struggles in taking control of fixtures. Significantly, they have scored the game’s opening goal in just two of those eight matches, and have led at half-time in just one of the fixtures.

Saudi Arabia have been awarded a penalty in two of their last three matches (one scored, one missed). Less than half (three) of Saudi Arabia’s last seven matches have seen both teams score. Seven of Paraguay’s previous eight matches have produced under 2.5 goals.

It’s a similar story for Paraguay, who also secured victory last week to make it just their second win in nine matches (W2, D4, L3), if counting only the regulation 90+ minutes. Their front line found the net in five of those nine fixtures, but scored over 1.5 goals just once. Newcastle forward Miguel Almirón continues to struggle for goals at domestic level, but he can boast two goals in his last three appearances for Paraguay. Notably though, whilst Paraguay conceded in seven of those games, they conceded over 1.5 goals on just three occasions (90 mins only). Additionally, they went onto lose just one of the three fixtures in which they conceded two or more (W1, D1, L1).
