Swansea vs Fulham – Prediction (Championship – 29.11.2019)

Preview and Teams Comparison.

Three losses across Swansea City’s last four home games (W1) puts them amongst the worst performing sides at home since the beginning of October. Conceding an average of 1.5 goals per fixture across that period, whilst netting just 0.5 on average themselves, isn’t likely to inspire the home faithful here. It’s no wonder then that Swansea have earned just 13 of their 30-point haul at home this term, especially as they’ve seen their opponents score first in five of their nine Championship home games. Moreover, 61.11% of the goals Swansea have conceded this season came at home.

Fulham could be a tough opponent considering they’ve lost only one league fixture from their previous six (W4, D1, L1), winning their last three in a row. Two of those three victories came by a one-goal margin, which is the ‘Cottagers’ most common away winning-margin this season. Further confidence should come from the fact Scott Parker’s side have lost just 25% of the league fixtures that they started as a betting favourite since the start of 2018/19 (W12, D6, L6). However with Fulham losing five of the last six league H2Hs, and conceding at least two goals in each of those defeats, nothing is guaranteed here.

Players to watch: André Ayew has been directly involved in eight goals this season (four goals, four assists) – all came in games where both teams scored. Championship top-scorer Aleksandar Mitrović (13 goals, one assist) has netted five goals across his last four outings for club and country. Three of those matches featured over 2.5 goals.

Stat attack: Swansea’s most common half-time scoreline at home this season is ‘0-0’ (33.33%). Likewise, Fulham have seen 37.5% of their away games end goalless at half-time. Of the away goals Fulham have conceded this season, 42.86% have arrived during the final 15 minutes.
